This CNC-machined cast iron competition block supports 500 maximum horsepower. It features a 2-piece rear main seal, tall lifter bores, a standard lifter pattern, a full water jacket (non-siamese bores),, and nodular caps. The lifter valley oil scavenging boss below the bell housing flange is present, but not drilled and tapped. The oil dipstick holes are also not drilled, and 2.000-inch O.D. (1.867-inch I.D.) bearings for all five cam bearing locations are required. The clearance between the timing drive system and the block must be checked, and tall lifter bore blocks may require machining of the block to provide clearance at the top of the lifter bores for some roller lifters.
