The Vortec Bowtie cylinder head assembly is made of cast iron and offers Fast Burn performance. It features a small port, big valves, a thick deck surface, hardened exhaust valve seats, and a straight spark plug design. The head is machined for 2.000-inch/1.550-inch valves, and is assembled with 2.0-inch intake valves and 1.55-inch sodium-filled exhaust valves, beehive valve springs, spring retainers and locks, valve stem seals, and 3/8 screw-inch rocker arm studs. It does not include heat risers, and requires an exhaust gasket.
