The clutch disc is the connecting link between the engine and transmission, providing a large surface area of friction material on both sides. The surface of the clutch disc contacts the flywheel surface of the engine and the pressure plate surface of the transmission. Rotation of the flywheel is transferred to the pressure plate through the clutch plate, allowing your vehicle to move. When the clutch pedal is engaged, the clutch plate is separated from the flywheel, allowing gears to be changed. When the clutch pedal is released, they make contact and the transfer of power begins again. This clutch kit features an organic solid disc and a diaphragm plate. It is for use with Cruze and Sonic vehicles. It is an increased torque capacity system that includes a larger-than-stock flywheel, clutch disc, and pressure plate, along with new attaching bolts.
